Manager Client Services and Business Development

The Manager of Client Services and Business Development will be responsible for managing and expanding select AVIA client relationships through on-going account management activities including business need evaluation, account plan development and execution.  In order to be successful in this role, the Manager/Director, Client Services will need to quickly establish and build long-term relationships with key client sponsors and other senior leaders to ensure all stakeholders understand the value of partnering with AVIA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop prospect and client communications tailored to a range of audiences, from senior healthcare executives to key influencers and other partnership stakeholders.
  • Further develop and support standardized account management processes.
  • Build level of client respect and satisfaction by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Continually monitor client activity and develop strategies to increase usage of AVIA as an innovation extender.
  • Gather and share client feedback to contribute to product development efforts and increased client satisfaction across AVIA’s portfolio of provider clients.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business, both by supporting the expansion of current client engagements by developing a deep understanding of client goals, strategies and challenges.
  • Receive and respond directly to client requests, serve as the liaison between clients and AVIA. Identify and involve appropriate AVIA resources as needed to ensure accurate and timely delivery of AVIA’s assets.
  • Prepare and lead client conference calls and visits to manage client expectations, progress and planning for service delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in healthcare management or equivalent consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry; knowledge of hospital and health system landscape is required.
  • Experience in leveraging a CRM to drive client communication and internal reporting; working knowledge of SugarCRM is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions beneficial to clients with understanding of impact to overall company resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport with clients, internal and external.
  • Superb problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills to effectively convey management needs to colleagues and functions throughout the company.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to internal and external senior management teams.


Analyst/Senior Analyst

Reporting to a Director or Vice President, the Analyst will have a breadth of responsibilities ranging from AVIA’s provider-focused innovation services to understanding and analyzing emerging technology enabled products and services. Individuals in the Analyst/Senior Analyst roles have a deep passion for improving healthcare, and will quickly be immersed in multiple client situations and research on innovative topics.  Given our growth and positive outlook for the future of the business, AVIA is looking to add a number of new Analyst positions to our professional team.  The position is based in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary/secondary market research on innovative companies in the areas of digital health, emerging healthcare technologies, and hospital/health system care delivery transformation.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from diverse sources in innovative ways to extract key findings. Extracting/Assimilating both quantitative and qualitative data and manipulating data in Excel. Developing recommendations to inform the decisions of an executive audience.
  • Support the sourcing, diligence and reporting around emerging digital health companies and their solutions.
  • Support service delivery to AVIA hospital and healthcare members, including presentation and deliverable development.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of projects in order to ensure outstanding work product in a timely manner in a fast paced environment.
  • Assist with special projects such as competitive landscape analysis and social media strategy.  
  • Be a valued and contributing member of the AVIA team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA degree
  • Two plus years of work experience preferred.
  • Strong candidates will couple analytical skills with excellent creative thinking.
  • Ability to draw insights from disparate sources that are both quantitative and qualitative in nature.
  • Ability to apply structured, analytical and creative thinking to unstructured problems.
  • Candidates should feel comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrate evidence of working and thriving in environments with limited information and data.
  • Facility with Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Access as plus.
  • Enthusiasm to learning, challenge and enhance existing strategic solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff.
  • Commitment to building the capacity, thought capital, and brand of the organization.
  • Genuine interest in and commitment to healthcare.
