Memorial Hermann Health System and AVIA partner to make a significant impact on care delivery and advance the health of their communities

CHICAGO, Aug. 26, 2015 — AVIA Health Innovation, healthcare’s provider-led accelerator, announced today that Memorial Hermann Health System has joined the AVIA Innovator Network.

Memorial Hermann joins a growing group of forward-leaning health systems who share a commitment to innovation. As a network member, Memorial Hermann will work alongside other health systems to tackle pressing challenges such as patient experience, behavioral health, and post-acute care. For each topic, AVIA leads a health system cohort through a rigorous due diligence process that includes problem identification, market landscaping, vendor evaluations, system selection, and accelerated adoption. This collaborative process de-risks the selection and implementation of emerging technologies, enabling health systems to act with confidence while maximizing value to the system.

“The AVIA Innovator Network will benefit from Memorial Hermann’s strong clinical expertise and focus on patient-centered care. We look forward to supporting their innovation and care transformation initiatives,” said Eric Langshur, AVIA CEO and co-founder.

“We are thrilled about our new relationship with the AVIA network as it brings new opportunities to enhance the delivery of care to our patients,” said Chuck Stokes, Memorial Hermann Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Being a team player in a collaborative network, with other leading health care institutions, enables us to have a more significant impact on care delivery and aligns with our vision to advance the health of our community.”
